Shin Tae-yong said that the Indonesian national team has not changed since 1996 until now.
Indonesia has always had a great interest in football matters. However, the great love of the Indonesian people is often hurt by the national team’s achievements that never get better.
To fix it all, PSSI recruited the South Korean national team coach, Shin Tae-yong. The coach, who is often called coach Shin, actually played against the Indonesian national team in the 1996 Asian Cup.
At that time, Shin Tae-yong and his friends succeeded in defeating the Indonesian national team with a score of 4-2. Interestingly, since then until now as the coach of the national team, Shin Tae-yong said that Indonesia had not changed.
“I think it’s almost the same. So, in 1996, I first came to Indonesia. I see that the Indonesian players are physically weak and their playing style is divided into two: Five defenders and five attacking players. His playing style is like that,” said Shin Tae-yong through the Sport77 Official Youtube content.

Seeing the style of play that did not develop at all, Shin Tae-yong intended to change it.
“That’s why I’m trying to change that and the players at the moment are changing a lot. Maybe the fans feel that way too. That’s what I know so far,” added Shin Tae-yong.
