The coach of the U-17 Indonesia National Team, Bima Sakti, called 36 players to attend the training camp (TC) before taking part in the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.

The Indonesian U-17 National Team is scheduled to hold a TC in Yogyakarta on 5-25 September 2022 in preparation for the U-17 Asian Cup Qualification.

Among these players, Bima Sakti included many alumni of the U-16 national team when they won the 2022 AFF U-16 Cup in Yogyakarta in August 2022.

“Alhamdulillah, we are grateful. There are several additional players from Asprov as well as the U-16 EPA competition,” added the coach of the U-17 Indonesia National Team, Bima Sakti, as reported by the PSSI official website.

Persija Jakarta and Borneo FC became the most teams that contributed players to the Indonesian U-17 National Team. Both submitted six names.

“Of course there will be promotion and relegation. So we can get the best team framework,” said Bima Sakti.

“We will also try our best to achieve the goal, which is to win every match in the qualifiers later,” he added.

The U-17 Indonesian National Team will host the U-17 Asian Cup Qualification on October 1-9 2022.

The team nicknamed Garuda Asia will face Malaysia, Palestine, Guam, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“Of course, we have to continuously report on the progress of the training center every day. I also hope to be able to talk a lot in the U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers,” explained Bima Sakti.
